My recent trip to New Mexico, and Arizona left me in love with the desert. I wandered the desert wondering if I could eat the plants.

I found another one I've seen and can eat! hesperis matronalis but this purple flowering weed silene armeria can be poisonous. So be careful.

You can eat this weed too but I haven't tried it yet. I'll have to report when I run into one. I'm thinking it will taste much like a dandelion.... we'll see.

Sisymbrium irio – London Rocket

Yeah!!!!

I've been wondering for quite some time if I could eat this and I happily stumbled upon its Latin name today Sisymbrium irio – London Rocket! So here are some links I found with info.

I'm not finding a whole lot of info on how much of this weed you can eat so for now I'm just going to eat a little bit of it on occasion just for fun. No green smoothies or anything = ).
